Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District hosted the 3rd Annual Crunch Time Extrication Competition and Learning Symposium on September 27-29, 2013 at Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District’s Station #3. This event helps departments train new personnel with both classroom and a practical skills workshop. On Sunday the public is invited to a full day of extrication competitions. Rescue teams of five firefighters compete in two 20 minute scenarios throughout the day. Teams are judged on their use of tools and how they get their patient out of the damaged vehicles.
We are proud to announce that the Byron Fire Dept. Team 1, a long time AMKUS user, took second in the Unlimited Competition and second for the Overall Competition (limited and unlimited pits).
Congratulations to the Byron Fire Dept. and keep up the good work!
