New AMK-21A Cutter has excellent cutting capability

AMKUS Rescue Systems introduces the NEW AMK-21A Cutter with increased cutting capability. The new and improved version of the AMK-21 Cutter offers a new style cutting blade and maintains its UNIQUE 360 degree rotating handle. The design of the blades provides increased cutting capability and a higher NFPA performance level rating. Departments can specify the position of the control valve - left, right or centered in relation to the cutting blades - at the time of ordering. AMKUS Receives Award from Daytona International Speedway

AMKUS Rescue Systems has been the Official Rescue System of International Speedway Corporation (ISC) for many years. ISC owns twelve racetracks including: California Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Michigan Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, Richmond International Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway and Watkins Glen International.

At the Daytona International Speedway Track Services Meeting held on Sunday, February 17, 2008, AMKUS was presented with an award “in appreciation to AMKUS for providing top Quality Rescue Equipment to the Daytona International Speedway Fire Department for 25 Years.” AMKUS is honored to receive this award. We consider it a privilege to work with the Daytona International Speedway Fire Department.

AMKUS Receives Track Services Mission Award from NASCAR

AMKUS Rescue Systems attended the NASCAR Summit Meeting in January 2008. During the meeting, AMKUS was presented with the “NASCAR Track Services Mission Award” for 2007. This award “recognizes an individual or organization that goes above and beyond their contractual or personal obligation in support of the Track Services Team’s mission”.

The Track Services Mission Statement is “Our team’s mission is to improve the safety of all, at every NASCAR event, through advanced continuing education, qualified training and support for all track services personnel”. AMKUS is proud to be the Rescue System Supplier of NASCAR and is honored to receive the NASCAR Track Services Mission award.

AMKUS Rescue Systems Awarded for Environmental Stewardship

In November of 2007, AMKUS Inc. received the “Environmental Stewardship” award from Orion Energy Services related to the amount of energy conserved by replacing shop lighting.

The award says, “Orion Energy Services presents the Environmental Stewardship Award to AMKUS, Inc. who displaces 71,932 kWh annually.” The environmental impact over the lifetime of the new lighting fixtures is equal to: Planting 13 acres of trees; Removing 1,975 tons of airborne pollutants; Saving 119,003 gallons of gasoline.

AMKUS appoints DPC Emergency Equipment for Delaware and Eastern Maryland

AMKUS appoints First Due Emergency Supply for Southern New Jersey

New 30CRT Spreader

AMKUS Rescue Systems (Downers Grove, IL USA) is proud to introduce their NEW AMK-30CRT Spreader based on their legendary field-proven AMK-30CX spreader. It incorporates the innovative push-button removable tip design that has made the AMK-24 spreader one of the most successful product launches in AMKUS’ 30+ year history. With the addition of the optional extended reach tips (part # 39000001010) the AMK-30CRT creates an amazing 40 inches of spread.

The AMK-30CRT is sold either as a completely new unit or as an upgrade package for current owners of the original AMK-30CX. The upgrade package includes new arms and tips at a specially discounted price. Extended reach tips are available as optional equipment for both.

AMKUS adds new Regional Manager

AMKUS, Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Bob Linster, Jr. to the position of Regional Sales Manager.

Bob will directly oversee the AMKUS dealer network covering the Northeastern United States including the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and a portion of Virginia.

As a 17-year veteran of the rescue tool industry, Bob brings extensive knowledge and experience to this position. His addition to the AMKUS family further bolsters our ongoing commitment to market growth and responsive customer service. We look forward to the future with great anticipation.

Customer Maintenance Classes Available at the Factory

AMKUS offers Maintenance/Service/Repair Seminar’s for customers at the factory. We have two customer sessions scheduled for 2008. If you are unable to attend one of the classes at the factory, you may be able to schedule training with your local dealer. AMKUS dealers can provide training on Levels 1 and 2, but Level 3 training will only be offered at the factory. Each participant that successfully completes the course will receive a certificate of participation.

Subjects covered in each level are outlined below.

Level 1- Covers the information in the maintenance manual with some hands on experience and further explanations. Covers basic hydraulics.

Level 2- Covers maintenance not in the maintenance manual as well as simple additional repairs which may involve the pressure retaining parts of the tools (valves, hoses, etc.)

Level 3- Covers total disassembly and reassembly of all tools, trouble shooting and high pressure repairs.

AMKUS will hold the following training sessions in 2008

Dates February 6-8, 2008 May 14-16, 2008
